Rye Presbyterian Church, a 1,100-plus member congregation of the Presbyterian Church, USA, seeks a creative, energetic, and faith-filled individual to serve as the church’s Director of Music Ministries for Children and Youth.Duties for this part-time position (average of ten [10] hours per week) include directing two choirs (Grades 1-5; Grades 6-8), infusing the rehearsal time with age-appropriate instruction in music reading and ear training, directing the church’s annual Christmas Pageant, along with the Live Nativity component of the church’s Christmas Eve services, and providing music enrichment for the Sunday School program. The Director of Music Ministries for Children and Youth works with and reports to the Director of Music and Organist. In addition, the Director of Music Ministries for Children and Youth works occasionally with the Associate Pastor.
