First Presbyterian Church is both a More Light and Earth Care congregation that partners with a Lutheran faith community in the beautiful and historic college town of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The Presbyterian Church is housed in a stunning 1894 sanctuary that extends to  include two education wings.  We are looking for a full-time pastor who will work with both our congregation and the Lutheran faith community currently housed in a downtown Bloomsburg store front.  Both congregations are passionate about community care and connection as well as being welcoming to all.  As you can see on our MDP attached to this form, our mission statement builds on the well-loved biblical quote - "To Do Justice, Love Kindness, and Walk Humbly with our God."  We live those words in our ministry, outreach, and fellowship. We seek a pastor who has enthusiasm for ministry and will inspire us to grow in our spiritual lives and our devotion to God as we serve our neighbors near and far.  Together we will challenge each other to be open and civic-minded as well as willing to confront inequities and promote justice.  We seek a pastor who is familiar with traditional style worship yet also embraces technology and social media, to reach a wider world.  We are drawn to pastors who are humble motivators, compassionate servants, and excellent communicators.
