Overview:
The Office Manager will perform the office functions and communications for Irvington Presbyterian Church (IPC) and Good Shepherd Early Childhood Center (GSECC).
This is a position requiring 20 hours/week, in person (M-F 8:30-12:30). Salary will be $20,800/year ($20/hr).
The Office Manager will be a key point of contact for the church and school. He/she must have a caring attitude, excellent people skills, and high integrity. He/she should be experienced and organized and able to work with a variety of staff members, volunteers, and members of the community, and be prepared for frequent visitors and phone calls. Experience with clerical, communications, and administrative skills are required.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
- Understanding of social media and best practices for engaging with followers
- Ability to create and disseminate print and multimedia content
- Experience with a wide variety of platforms and programs (e.g., WordPress, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Adobe Suite, Publisher, etc.)
- Support of the church’s and school’s mission
- Communications
- In collaboration with the clergy and IPC staff, create and produce bulletins for all services of worship and programs
- Prepare email communications as needed (e.g. birth notice, death notice, hospitalization and all other prayer requests)
- Regularly update IPC’s and GSECC’s website and other social media
- Develop a communications content calendar, using information provided by staff and ministry leaders, to highlight the story of IPC and its ministries.
- Business Operations
- Maintain office equipment contracts and supplier maintenance
- Organize and maintain all church documents and files and calendar. Make copies and shred documents as requested
- Update members’ and visitors’ information into our data system.
- Be physically present in office during regular office hours
- Coordinate facility usage by maintaining a master calendar for all shared occupancy groups
