As the head of a team, the Senior Pastor will delegate and empower other congregational and staff leaders to strive for shared goals, recognizing that our church works smoothly when volunteer committees play a principal role in planning and executing programming. In return, the congregational leadership will commit to a supportive relationship that feeds the health and wellness of the pastor, emphasizing adequate rest, discovery and renewal. Key skills include: - Deliver thoughtful and inspirational sermons relevant to our congregants' lives. - Partner to help sustain a warm, vibrant and engaging Church community, placing emphasis on inclusivity and building ties across all age groups. - Encourage programs to strengthen our families, engage our youth and integrate young members, - Steward our staff to help refine our structures and processes for managing the Church. - Support active mission in Greenwich and beyond. In addition to being an inspirational preacher, the Senior Pastor must strive to reflect the character of Christ.  With a pastor’s heart, they will care for, enjoy, and play an active part in our Church community. They should be willing to listen to and love the congregation, embracing all age groups including those in need of pastoral care. Moreover, the Senior Pastor must possess the vision to foster new member growth and the ability to lead stewardship initiatives, both of which are essential to the mission and strength of our church, and collaborate with The Presbytery of Southern New England.
