We want to reconnect with the wider community and future generations while also improving the worship experience for all. To do this, we need more programming to attract youth and young adults, community outreach, technology enhancements for online worship, and investments in music and worship life. Tasks, expectations, duties, supervision, assignments, and responsibilities for the position Lead Sunday worship services and special religious ceremonies Prepare and deliver sermons based on scripture and theological study Provide pastoral care and counseling to members of the congregation Administer sacraments such as baptism and communion Visit sick or homebound congregants to offer spiritual support Oversee the church’s administrative functions and assist in budget planning Work collaboratively with various ministries of the church Serve as a liaison between the congregation and the larger Presbyterian Church organization Work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers Perform wedding ceremonies and funeral services Engage in continuing education to stay informed on theological and pastoral best practices
